Short Hello

Written by Serge Leger on November 24th 2008

It is a month away from Christmas, but everywhere I go I don’t see any signs of it, that’s because I am in Kenya!

Beth and I have been here for two months, we have travelled alot, visited such different places. We are looking forward to go to the coast, experience the constant heat and seemingly unbearable heat of the Indian ocean’s coast. The festival in march in Kisumu (on Victoria lake) is something we are also looking forward to very much.

I am not writing much more, but just want to say that we have been here for two months in Kenya, and we are quite accustomed to the life here. I would say the only thing you cannot become accustomed to is how much

people remind you that you are white and a foreigner. When I begin speaking swahili with people they realise I know more about their country than they think, but as other people have told me I can use the fact that I am a foreigner to my advantage and draw a crowd sometimes, or people are willing to talk to me and God uses that as a door to speak in people’s lives and share the gospel

.

Take Care. PEACE
